HIRSHHORN x Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors Exhibit

I had an amazing time visiting the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, D.C. this past weekend.  Might I say this was an interestingly dope experience.  A little history on the exhibit:  Yayoi, the creator of the exhibit, is a Japanese artist who uses “soft sculptures” and mirrors to give intense repetition to the eye; she created this for self-therapy to surmount her fear of sex and phallus.  The exhibit is a five room tour, where when you step into each of the rooms you have roughly twenty seconds.  So, imagine trying to get a bomb selfie in a room full of mirrors in twenty seconds…not the best!  Nonetheless, I had an amazing time!  This is definitely a must see exhibit!  P.S. Infinity Mirrors is challenging to get tickets to see, but if you are in the DMV area, be sure to try and get tickets.  It checks out in May!  Enjoy.
